Making a Difference

Italian TV dinner, Fazoli’s, Macaroni Grill, Massimino’s Cucina Italiana: There is a difference.

Community College, State University, Harvard, Oxford: There is a difference.

Regardless of where we eat, receive our education, or worship, we all know there is a difference.

The same is true in leadership. We see it on every front politically, corporately, educationally, and spiritually. There is a difference.

When it comes to spiritual leadership, are we really making a difference? Have we become complacent, apathetic, or indifferent?

Let us provide the leadership needed today for a better tomorrow and eternity because, in the end, it makes all the difference.

A Leadership Crisis

Will a leadership crisis characterize our generation? Leaders are in high demand. From the political to the spiritual arena, we need leaders.

What should be done? We can…

1) Do nothing.
2) Deny the crisis.
3) Ignore it.
4) Procrastinate and allow wrong leaders to have control.
5) Address it with a plan of action.

How?

1) Acknowledge the problem(s).
2) Examine the situation.
3) Remove the element(s) poisoning the organization.
4) Develop a support system for leaders.
5) Begin a course that prepares leaders for the future.

We need to act and we need to act now!

Vision and Leadership…

A majority of leaders in the political, educational, corporate and religious arenas quickly admit that vision is essential to leadership.

In construction, leaders demonstrate an ability to see the finished product in their mind. Only when they see it will they follow the blueprint accurately.

Spiritual leaders must do the same. To help Christians reach the goals before them, leaders must first see it in their mind.

Casting this kind of vision helps them stay focused and energized for the journey.

Mistakes are easily made when there is no vision. Solomon wrote, “Where there is no vision, the people are unrestrained” (Pro. 29:18).
