Have you seen the news lately? Is morality as bad as it seems? Can the economy be as poor as we are told?

With increasing negativity, we tend to fear the present and future. Combined with an awareness of disease, death, war, natural disasters, and more, we question Why? or What should we do?

Napoleon said, “Leaders are dealers in hope.” 

As leaders, our work is to provide hope that no matter what happens now or 20 years from now, there is a reason to rejoice.

We rejoice in the Lord. We rejoice in His promises. The world needs something more and we have what it needs. Deal out hope!

Enduring Trust

Enduring life’s challenges is an ability strengthened by victorious faith. Understand that others have also overcome. See the great cloud of witnesses, biblically, historically, and personally.

Trust that God will keep His promises. He will see you through every trial. The adage claims, “If He brings you to it, He will see you through it.” Run with endurance the race that is set before you.

No matter how great the obstacle, at its worst it is still temporary. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus who for the joy before Him endured the cross, despised the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of God.

What If…Part 2

Yesterday, I posed this question: What would we do if we knew we could not fail?

The challenge is to see a much bigger picture. Consider the following: If we could not fail…

Would we talk to the neighbor across the street?

Set greater goals for reaching the lost in our city, state, or country?

Approach world missions with loftier efforts?

I ask this because we can’t fail! The Bible reminds us that not one of God’s good promises ever failed.

He is with us and for us, and “if God is for us, who can be against us?” (Rom. 8:31). Why are we waiting?

Better Leadership…

If something is better, there is improvement from a previous condition or situation.

One of the key words in Hebrews is better. We live under a better covenant, based on better promises, because of a better sacrifice. The result is a better hope.

When we examine our character, attitude, work ethic, practice, or presence, can we say it is better than before?

Would we say the development of those who follow is better today than yesterday?

Perhaps the appropriate question is, “Will we do what it takes to make it better?”

Leaders make things happen, and what they make happen should be for the better.
