True Leadership

Difficulties often cause leaders to: a) step out of the leadership role, or b) never enter into a leadership role.

God never promised a carefree, problem free life. If anything, God ensures us that life is going to be filled with problems, difficulties, and suffering.

True leadership learns how to deal with those challenges in the most godly, Christian manner possible.

Rely upon God for guidance in approaching these challenges.

Develop a strong determination to lead no matter how difficult the road.

Seek help from seasoned leaders who have faced difficulties.

Above all, understand that they are only temporary.

Helping or Enabling

There is a difference between helping and enabling. There is also a difference in how we perceive helping and the reality of our actions.

Remember the proverb: Give someone a fish and feed them for a day or teach them how to fish and feed them for life. Which one is really helping?

Our leadership needs to be based on the same idea. When we strive to help someone, it should be considered beyond the temporary need of the moment.

Let us lead with the conviction of helping others long term, perhaps eternally. Here is where the legacy of our leadership will be determined.

Leading with Hope…

Daily challenges often cause leaders to step out of leadership and discourage potential leaders from taking the role.

Life is filled with problems, difficulties, and suffering.

If the greatest leader who ever walked this earth dealt with challenges, we should never think our life and leadership will be exempt from them.

True leadership learns how to deal with those challenges. How?

Rely on God for guidance.
Develop a strong determination to lead.
Seek help from seasoned leaders.
Above all, understand challenges are temporary.

Better days ahead. Let us lead with such hope.
