True Legacy

Life is temporary, and someone will carry on when we leave this life. The question is, to whom will we pass the torch?

Paul passed the torch to Timothy, his “true child in the faith.” Paul instructed Timothy to do the same.

We understand the value of our children carrying on the family name or traditions.

The church faces the crisis of preparing men to shepherd the Lord’s church, providing healthy and encouraging teaching, and training teachers for the future of our children.

It is all about passing the torch. Who will replace you and me? To whom will we pass the torch? Herein lies true legacy.

Teamwork

Understanding teamwork and training as a team is obviously significant to the overall success of the group. However, there are some “do’s and don’ts” to fully comprehend training as a team.

Training and working as a team does not place everyone in an equal position. There are specific roles each member has for the unit to function properly.

Training and working as a team does place everyone on the same page. When a unit works as a team, the goals are communicated and understood.

Training as a team has great advantages for any organization. When we work together, each fulfilling our necessary roles, everyone wins.

Leading Technology

Be familiar with newer and emerging technologies.

Leadership (being a great leader) is not contingent on using or keeping up with emerging technology. Many leaders from the past and many in the future may never use technology.

However, we cannot deny the incredible opportunities that technology presents in the development of our leadership.

Tools for training, mentoring, guidance, and encouragement are available to everyone.

If we have the opportunity to utilize the tools of technology to grow in our leadership and influence thousands, if not millions more, will God not hold us accountable for such?
