Five Leadership Components…

Organization, arrangement, design, forethought, and groundwork are key components in our leadership.

Organization: Organizational success is determined by the strength of its leadership.

Arrangement: The arrangement of each component is critical for development.

Design: The design stage in planning is where dreams unfold into direction.

Forethought: When planning, forethought includes vision, goals, mission, core values, people, and obstacles.

Groundwork: The groundwork is based on the forethought given to the specific nature of planning.

When leaders in the Lord’s kingdom give thought to planning based on these five components, the reality of success occurs at the right time and the right place.

Leadership on the Battlefield…

“Leaders aren’t built in a classroom––they are built on the battlefield of the mission.” Mac Lake

This is one of the best and most profound thoughts in the book. Don’t misunderstand the point, we can all learn a great deal in the classroom, whether through reading or the instruction provided by experienced leaders.

However, on the battlefield of the mission is where leaders “cut their teeth.” Here, they develop the skills and experience that develops them into the leaders God wants and desires. While these are hard lessons to learn, they have a strong and lasting impact. As we will see, these lessons are not learned alone.

If… Part 2

We left off yesterday with this question: “What would we do if we knew we could not fail?

Would we talk to the neighbor across the street if we could not fail?

Would we set greater goals for reaching the lost of our state or country if we could not fail?

Would our approach to world missions take on loftier efforts if we could not fail?

We cannot fail! The Bible reminds us that not one of God’s good promises ever failed.

He has promised to be with us and never forsake us, to listen to us and counsel us, and to give the increase.

Why are we waiting?
